I stayed in April 2023 with my family and friends as we stayed in Toscana for 4 days. It is a wonderful place to stay, very unique and authentic old fortress that is being sustained by the locals.
The apartment we stayed in was beautiful, with everything at our disposal, big rooms and authentic to the place.
It was still a bit chilly at nights, for which the heating had to be operated manually by firing up an internal fire place, for this, the host helped.
The host was very welcoming, easy to communicate and gave us all recommendations for restaurants.
I completely recommend this great place. You can go for a hike in the mornings nearby.
You need a car.
We had our stay in a wonderful authentic apartment in a real castle! There where 3 big rooms with a bathroom in each of them, with a wonderful view to the valley downstairs from one side. Nice, cozy rooms. The castle is an amazing place on te top of a hill owned by the family sinds 14th century, with a small fairytale one-street village next to it. The family produce their own very good wine, we could have a free degustation and buy the wine to take home. The swimming pool was a perfect option in this summer heet, the beach is just in 20 minutes driving, there was even a beach where we could go with our dog. Thank you for wonderful stay. We will definitely come back to recharge again from our city rush..
